Peace in Iraq Cannot Come From Outside

The US bi-partisan Baker comission is recommends pulling Iran and Syria into the mud to create permanent peace in Iraq.  These US politicians are so blinded by the surface values of war and peace that they miss the underlying foundation.

“War is born in the minds of men” (UNESCO); peace is born in the minds of men as well.

The tension in Iraq did not arise with the American invasion, it already existed in the collective consciousness of the Iraqi people, and will continue to exist and grow after the Americans pull out. No foreign power can remove this tension, for it is in the minds of the Iraqi people. Neither Iran nor Syria are unbounded fountains of peace and harmony, they have more than enough supressing tension in their own homes.

The Iraqi people needs a universal foundation of peace that is deep, unshakeable, and unifying. Such a universal foundation of peace will never be located through political pressure or negotiations, military force, police force or actions of terror. Man-made peace will never give Iraq permanent peace. Iraq needs a universal, never-ending peace.

Peace exists, has existed, and will exist forever. It is present everywhere – under the surface, outside the awareness of the Iraqi people. Peace is an unbounded natural resource that just needs to be brought to the surface with the right technology. What is that peace, which has no beginning and no end, which is universal, and accessible for all people? Where is that type of peace?

It is very close, the closest you can get. It is your own Self, your own Being. Being has no beginning, no end, and no bounderies in time and space. It is universal, unshakeable, and unifying: Being is the essence of every human being and their environment. He whose mind is anchored in Being, his thougths and actions will be in harmony with all beings, he will not violate the laws of Being, the laws of nature. Establishing the mind in this Unity, this universal Self, is the key to pemanent peace in Iraq.

It is simple, so simple that leaders all of the world refuse to believe they missed it – all this time. While politicians have refused to realize that consciousness is the foundation of thought and action, of war and peace, the ancient Vedic tradition of India has been focusing on technology of consciousness for thousands of years.
